Make. Break. Mend. Become.

This graphic was built around the ideas at the heart of Mend Metalworks: making, transformation, resilience, and the beauty that can come from putting things back together.

At its center is the anvil, a symbol of the metalsmith's craft, but also of transformation. Metal is hammered, heated, stretched, cut and reshaped before it becomes something beautiful. The process leaves its mark. That's part of what makes it what it is.

Surrounding it are hummingbirds; tiny, fierce creatures that embody both strength and lightness. To me, they represent joy, resilience, curiosity, and the ability to keep moving toward the sweet stuff.

That juxtaposition feels especially true to Mend: strength and softness can coexist. Delicate things can be forged from solid metal. What has been broken or changed doesn't have to return to what it was before in order to become something beautiful.

That's what Mend has always meant to me. It is not about erasing the scars or pretending they never happened, but allowing the process of repair and transformation to become part of the story.

We mend to return and to become who we are meant to be.
