Not the difficult seasons. Not the detours. Not the things that end. Not even the parts of ourselves we eventually have to leave behind.

This one-of-a-kind necklace centers around a beautiful piece of Deschutes Picture Jasper, with sweeping bands of cream, rust, brown, and smoky gray that look like layers of earth stretching across a desert landscape.

I framed the stone in two layers of hand-cut sterling silver, creating depth around the setting while letting the natural landscape within the jasper remain the focus. At the bottom sits a tiny sterling silver barn owl skull-a small nod to cycles, transformation, and the beautiful truth stamped onto the back:

NOTHING IS WASTED.

The pendant is finished with a substantial hand-fabricated sterling silver bail and an oxidized finish that brings out the dimension and detail in the metalwork.The pendant hangs from an adjustable sterling silver chain, measuring approximately 19" at its longest length. A substantial lobster clasp can be hooked into different links along the chain to wear it shorter if desired.

A piece about landscape, impermanence, and trusting that even the things we lose can become part of what comes next.

I offer free U.S. standard shipping on all orders over $275. Orders below that amount, select your shipping option at checkout. We want you to love your Mend Metalworks jewelry! Unworn, undamaged items can be returned for a full refund, but please do the following:

  • Contact me within three days of delivery with your request and reason,
  • Ship back within 7 days of delivery in original conditions and packaging,
  • Shipping costs will be incurred for both directions,
  • Custom pieces are the exception and cannot be returned. We will work with you to ensure your piece is exactly what you want before it ships!
